Tonight will be a memorable one folks. A night of firsts and lasts, of introductions and farewells. We have a new album, a damn good album, to finally release! We have new members to introduce. We have new songs to debut! We will have more people on our stage tonight than every before, and the sound will be HUGE!! Tonight will also mark the passing of the torch from Mr Charles “Big Charlie” Skinner to the lovely Sandra Love! We got it all, baby, we got it all!

Ladies and gentlemen, we are proud to announce a new music video for “Ezmerelda”! New album comes out in 1 week and so we thought we’d give you a little treat in the meantime to tie you over. The video stars Olivia Luccardi (of House of Cards and Girls fame ) as Ezmerelda. Shot, cut and directed by Noah Adams. The Dirty Bourbon River Show is proud to announce that Miss Sandra Love will be joining us as a guest vocalist on our 4 month tour beginning next month! Sandra comes to us from Baltimore by way of Richmond, bringing a unique and soulful singing voice to the table. As a few of you may know, we’ve already done a few shows with her, and she clicked so nice we just decided to swoop her up and bring her on the road with us!
in other news we’re still looking for a full time trombonist, and a roadie as well (or concert technician, as they call them nowadays). If any one has any references please let us know! We are expanding and growing ever so fast and can’t wait for these beautiful new changes to reach their full bloom. Ad Astera per Aspera!
Yes people the time has come! The new album is ready and en route to Dirty Bourbon HQ, and we are getting the rewards together for those folks who donated last year and helped make it a reality!

Red Wolf Brass Band starts the night off at 6:30, Panorama Brass Band will keep the party going at 7:30, and Dirty Bourbon closes it out at 8:30.

And now without further ado, the most beautiful flutist/band director/ska front woman in Detroit, Kim!
Since we’ve been home for most of February, I’ve had time to frequent my nearest Salvation Army for records and VHS tapes. It’s pretty sweet because records and tapes are a quarter there.
Going through their stash this month I found a Dave Brubeck record, a Bill Evans Anthology, Genesis live double-disc, and the Blues Brothers soundtrack on vinyl for under $2. They were all in good condition too. (I also bought Kazaam, Wizard of Oz, Tim Burton’s Batman & Nightmare before Christmas, and some other movies for about the same price.)
So for post 6 of BBR, I’ll feature The Dave Brubeck Quartet record – Time In Outer Space.
Joe Morello was an amazing jazz drummer and dominates the whole B side of this record. Hope you enjoy!
