With this turning of the year, it is finally time to say goodbye to a dear friend and founding member – the one, the only – Dane “Bootsy” Schindler”:
Bootsy will be handing over his sticks to another very young and talented drummer, a one Mr. Scott Graves:
Bootsy’s been there since the beginning, and it will be incredibly tough to see him go. But he’s gonna guide Scott into a new chapter with us, and I know Scott will be a killer replacement:
Many big things coming this year. Stay tuned. Ad Astera per Aspera.

Yup, thats right ladies and gentlemen, there’s a 3 ring circus going down tonight at The Cats Cradle in Carrboro, NC! Doors open at 7pm. Line up is as follows:
Dr. Bacon (8:00-8:30pm)
Ellis Dyson & The Shambles (8:45-9:30pm)
Dirty Bourbon River Show (9:45-till)
Ladies and Gentlemen,
It has been a strange and wonderful adventure thus far in the Dirty Bourbon River Show! So much has happened and there is so little space and time with which to explain it all.
When we last left off, our heroes had just flown across the world for what would be a most victorious trip overseas. The band, trimmed down to just a 4piece, performed in some of the coolest and most absolutely beautiful places that the Swiss region had to offer. To quote Bill Murray, “We came, we saw, and we kicked it’s ass!” But seriously folks, it was an amazing feeling to not only be so well received but to also be so well taken care of. We truly couldn’t have done it all without the help of some very special people out there – you know who you are! Each night we were surrounded by good vibes with delicious food in our bellies and comfortable beds to rest our weary heads! Needless to say, we’re already working on return plans for next year!! Stay tuned!
Now that we are back home though folks, it is time to move forward and embrace the many changes that life brings. With that we must say farewell to one friend and welcome another. Our recent guest vocalist and dance machine Ms. Sandra Love will be stepping off the Dirty Bourbon train and a one Mr. Nick Garrison will climbing aboard. Nick is a tremendous trombonist and really just an all around cool dude. We enjoy his playing and his company and are sure you will too. As for Ms Love, well first we want to express how grateful we are for all the good times and the great times! She’ll be dancing and singing herself crazy down here in New Orleans. If you come visit, maybe look her up!
BUT WAIT!!!! THERE’S MORE!!
Lots more in fact, for we have a BIG SUMMER TOUR in the works! A summer filled with two months of nonstop Dirty Bourbon music and revelry! Big festivals, bacon festivals, and more and more club dates being booked everyday! Yes folks we’ve got a BIG SUMMER TOUR planned that’ll take us back to familiar territory and unfamiliar too! North Carolina, Colorado, Michigan, and Wyoming to name a few! We’ve already posted some of our dates so check the calendar and start spreading the word!!
DIRTY BOURBON IS COOKING UP SOME MOUTH WATERING, SPINE TINGLING SH!T Y’ALL!
CAN! YOU! DIG IT!!!
The Dirty Bourbon River Show is proud to announce that Miss Sandra Love will be joining us as a guest vocalist on our 4 month tour beginning next month! Sandra comes to us from Baltimore by way of Richmond, bringing a unique and soulful singing voice to the table. As a few of you may know, we’ve already done a few shows with her, and she clicked so nice we just decided to swoop her up and bring her on the road with us!
in other news we’re still looking for a full time trombonist, and a roadie as well (or concert technician, as they call them nowadays). If any one has any references please let us know! We are expanding and growing ever so fast and can’t wait for these beautiful new changes to reach their full bloom. Ad Astera per Aspera!
Did you party hardy last night? Did you laugh, cry, kiss an ugly stranger, fall off something, and/or make a bunch of impractical resolutions you’re sure to break within a week? If you’re like the rest of the world, you did. 2014 is gone now ladies and gents and it’s time to start tackling this beast they call 2015. So… what’s in store for Dirty Bourbon?
First off, we just posted 15 new dates to our sidebar. One important one to take note of is at 9pm on January 12th we’ll be playing Rockwood Music Hall in Manhattan as part of the APAP global music industry conference. Check this one out if your in the big apple that night – a lot of good bands courtesy of our wonderful agent Prater Day.
Also, on January 7th (one week) we’ll be adding a whole bunch more dates and releasing some sweet juicy details about out next upcoming album (including art, track list, exact release date, tour schedule, and more) so make sure and stay posted for that one as well.
Additionally, Noah’s beard is half a year old now… it’s getting a little out of control as of late… and he’s still got nine and a half years left to go on that puppy. Sometimes, we wonder if Noah is loosing his mind. Speaking of which, he just finished a short film entitled: “Life, Briefly.” Check it out:
Well, that’s all for now. Stay in touch! Ad Astera per Aspera ~ DBRS

Well, then, you should probably answer this ad:
Today is the final day folks. Less than 18 hrs to go on our Kickstarter campaign. Now – more than any other time – is the time for you to step up and become a part of this awesome project! We’ve poured so much love into writing, drafting and demoing these songs, selecting the perfect producer and professional studio, putting all our cards on the line for this new album – join us! Let’s do it together! Whether it’s $500 or just $5, do what you can, and together let’s make the dopest album ever – let’s break DBRS into the mainstream – and without the help of nefarious record companies and industry hacks telling us what to do. Let’s do it ourselves.

P.S. Headlining night one of the Big What? Festival in Mebance, NC tonight! Midnight! Hope to see you there!
Ladies and gentlemen, we’re looking for that special someone. We want to record this next album to tape and release a vinyl version of it as well. But to do that we need to get this Kickstarter to $12,000. We’re currently at $10,360 with less than 36 hours to go. That means we have only a day and a half to raise $1,640, or we won’t be able to do tape. We simply won’t be able to afford it. We’re already facing a $20,000 budget, all things considered. But, if we can get up to $12,000, then we’ll be able to give this next album that warm analog justice it deserves. You like warm analog justice, right?
Have you considered our $500 donation package? For a mere five Benjamins you can get backstage access to a DBRS concert (+meet & greet & photo session w/ band), an autographed copy of the new album, a DBRS t-shirt, 5 DBRS stickers, and an autographed set-list. That’s a pretty good deal, right?
Oh, and as a last minute bonus, if you pledge that package today, tomorrow we’ll mail you a copy of our 8th studio album Accordion Anthology on 180gram vinyl with a hand written letter (both the vinyl & the letter hand-signed as well) & an email with a download of a demo version of one of the new new songs from our soon-to-be-recorded 9th studio album Important Things Humans Should Know.
Now that’s a pretty sweet deal. 2/3 of these $500 reward packages (and all 3 of the $1,000 packages) have been claimed, so there’s only 1 left…
Don’t have $500? Neither do we… Got $5? Make a pledge. And check our Kickstarter history – we’ve pledged to many music projects ourselves in the past. And so, we beckon to you now:
O brother, O sister, where y’at?
