With this turning of the year, it is finally time to say goodbye to a dear friend and founding member – the one, the only – Dane “Bootsy” Schindler”:
Bootsy will be handing over his sticks to another very young and talented drummer, a one Mr. Scott Graves:
Bootsy’s been there since the beginning, and it will be incredibly tough to see him go. But he’s gonna guide Scott into a new chapter with us, and I know Scott will be a killer replacement:
Many big things coming this year. Stay tuned. Ad Astera per Aspera.

What’s up y’all!? Happy Holidays and all that good stuff to you and yours!
Today I’m excited to share with y’all a record I literally picked up an hour ago at a local spot here in New Orleans – Kitchen Witch! It’s a wonderful store on Bayou Rd Market and run by a lovely lady named Debbie and the whole store is filled with cookbooks of all types – and records!
A few days I was in a local bar and heard Ms Teena Marie on their radio and got all types of excited about the music – and today I just so happened to find her record – It Must Be Magic!
If you haven’t heard her music, check it out! Her band is killing!
Tonight we’re playing in Ocean Springs, MS at the Government St Grocery! Hitting at 10pm! Take it easy y’all!
Noah took some time today to pay tribute to the late and forever great, Leonard Cohen.
Like he said, tonight we’re in Austin, TX at C-Boy’s Heart and Soul and kicking things off at 10:30 PM. See you there!
Welp, we’re still full from Thanksgiving goodies. Hope everybody else got a tastey dose of tryptophan. Of course we are most thankful for all of our awesome supporters out there! Speaking of which, we’re hitting Texas for the weekend for a couple shows before we jump back in the studio.
Tonight’s show is FREE at Lola’s Trailer Park on W 6th Street in Fort Worth. Support from locals in Bad Mountain at 7:00, we play at 8:00.
I’ll leave you with this special gift we found in the green room. Anybody who can recreate this from scratch please contact us asap.

Happy Veterans Day, and don’t forget to check out the new A Tribe Called Quest album!!
You were earnest, and true. What I learned from you: dress up when you are writing songs by your lonesome. You will produce a better product.

I was talking with my dear friend this morning – Mr. Jaz Delorean – who plays in a really cool band out of London called Tankus the Henge (kinda like a UK version of DBRS). We talked about what happened last night, the state of the world, and our responsibilities as artists. Jaz left me with some profound words that I think are very important, and I would like to share that with you now:
“It’s our job as musicians, with a platform, to remind people that the future is in community, looking after each other, acceptance, love and understanding. For those random people who leave the venues feeling a sense of connection and equality through the enjoyment of music. It means something.”
I couldn’t agree with him more. I think it is most important now as we move forward as a human race that we remember these core values:
Without these basic values I do not think we can survive as a species. And I think, now more than ever, that people need role models who embody these values. So, I would like all my fellow artists and musicians to just pause for a second and think about what these things mean to your art and how you can use your art to help unite rather than divide. Let’s make all people who participate in our artistic experiences feel safe and welcome. Let’s make people feel good. Because lord knows we all need a little pick-me-up right now. Ad Astra per Aspera. Your Friend,
Where y’at Del Ray, FL? We’re gonna be blowing down the Arts Garage tonight – show starts at 8pm w/ the phenomenal Jon Stickley Trio, then Yours Truley will follow!
Remember remember the 5th of November! Here’s a sweet news article about the occasion as well. Sure beats doing that crazy wakka bath salts stuff the kids are into. Come on out!
