0 We Did It!!! But We’re Not Done Yet…
We dit it!!!! We’ve hit our $10,000 goal with 64 hours to go! But we’re not done yet ladies and gentlemen! Our budget has become clearer now that we’ve signed on a producer (Craig Schumacher) and scheduled professional studio time (Living Room Studio, New Orleans, LA) and all things considered, this project is going to cost us about $20,000 start to finish. We’re fully prepared to put in whatever we have to ourselves (we don’t have much) but we’d like to see if we could raise just a little more here on Kickstarter in these final few hours…
And so, if we can hit $12,000 here on Kickstarter before early Friday morning, then we’ll pledge to you to record this album on tape and do a vinyl release of it as well. Meeting with Craig and reviewing the equipment at The Living Room, he’s really excited to do some bussing to tape and treat it like a record, but tape & vinyl costs mucho money, and we just can’t do it in our current state…
But – if we can hit $12,000 here – then we can – and we will! So, it’s up to you folks… wanna see a vinyl version of this new album? Then let’s push just a little further… only $2,000 more to go – let’s do it!!!!
Oh, and we’ve reduced the $5,000 package to just 2 grand. For 2 grand you could have the Dirty Bourbon River Show perform in your house. Or your bar. Or your son’s bar mitzvah. Think about it.

And again, thank y’all so so so much. So excited to make this new album!!!
0 What a $500 Donation Could Get You…
We’re getting down to serious crunch time here folks… We have less than 76 hours to raise $2,410 dollars for our Kickstarter Campaign, and if we don’t, according to Kickstarter Guidelines, we won’t get any of the money! We’re so close (3/4’s of the way there) but yet so far, and so we need your help now more than ever…
Want to take your commitment to the music of DBRS to the next level? If so, you should explore our $500 donation option – which comes with all sorts of cool rewards – Backstage access to a Dirty Bourbon concert, lots of hand signed swagger, songs before the album even drops, all sorts of amazing stuff. There are only three of these rewards available, and 1 has already been taken.
If you are in such a position, please consider this donation amount. If we can get 2 $500 donors before the end of the night, we’ll be at 85%! As the night ends and we get dangerously close, this would be so so cool…
Watching that ticker tick… Let’s do this good people!!!! Here is the link:

0 Help Noah Find A New Home…
Noah would like to tell you all something about his guitar:
“This is my guitar. I have played her on the road for years. She earns my bread, keeps me clothed, keeps me fed, makes people dance, makes people happy. She is my baby.
“I am fortunate enough to spend my life playing this guitar with an amazing band some of you may have heard of – the Dirty Bourbon River Show. My band and I are currently trying to raise funds to record our next album, and we are way way behind… we have less than 10 days to raise $6,000, or we won’t meet our 10k goal, and wont get any of our funding….
“And so, to the next person out there that donates $1,000 to our project and brings us up to 50% funded, I will give you my guitar. Straight up. I’ll even clean her up, put some more dope-ass parts in, set her up, and string/tune her to your preferred action / gauge / etc and then you can have my baby. I’ve played her full time for over 3 years. And now, I want her to go to a good home.
“Will you give her a new home?”

0 Robbery in St. Louis: An Update
Thank you everybody that has chipped in to help out with our recent robbery in ST. Louis – thanks to our family and friend’s generosity we have already raised $545 in less than 24 hours
Click the above picture to help chip in! We are currently working on replacing the stolen items, and will post an itemized list of replacements for accountability once they have been acquired! Have already found an accordion case, just need to get a GPS, Garment bag & clothes for Matt now! Boy, does he stink…
PS Show tonight in Columbia, MO at Roxy’s

7 A Call To Arms: Crackheads Stole Matt’s Clothes, GPS & Accordion Case
What a crazy day it’s been St. Louis. This weekend, crackheads broke into our van and stole Noah’s accordion & handmade accordion case, our Yeti GPS, and all of Matt’s clothing. WTF?
We immediately scoured all the surrounding pawnshops & 2nd hand music stores – and strangely enough – we found the accordion had been pawned at a local music shop. We have now recovered the accordion, but what has not been recovered (& probably never will be) is the case, the GPS, and all of Matt’s clothing – his suits, his vests, his pants, his ties – even his skibbies – which totals to over $1,000 in loss (not including the skibbies).
And this really sucks. We are full-time touring musicians, and barely make enough as it is…
Want to help? Click the donation button below, and kick in a dollar, a hundred, or if you’re feeling frisky, a $1000 – whatever you have helps – if you’re broke like us don’t worry about it – just tell a rich person instead
Much love – & please don’t smoke crack
3 Dirty Bourbon River Show to Play 2013 RTCA Dinner in Washington Tomorrow
Tomorrow night (6/5/13 7-10pm) at the National Historic Museum the Dirty Bourbon River Show will headline the 69th Annual Radio & Television Correspondents Dinner in Washington D.C. Other entertainment includes Washboard Chaz Blues Trio, the Storyville Stompers Brass Band, jazz pianist John Royen, Mardi Gras Indians, and guest Chef Emeril. Yup, Emeril.
Unfortunately, the event will not be broadcasted on CSPAN this year as originally scheduled. This is the 1st year it will not be – for some reason CSPAN deemed this year’s programming to be “not a news event” – whatever that means… is it due to the “New Orleans” theme? Who knows… But well be sure to post pics & video of the event as soon as we have it; these new red suits we rented are something to be seen!
