New Orleans Big Brass Circus Rock Music
Ladies and gents,
Today, we perform at Wilmington, NC’s premiere high-end bottle shop and reserve, Palate! Last time was a beautiful, outdoors, family-friendly throw down full of good food, good drink, dancing, and sunshine, and I expect all of that and more today.
The show kicks off at 7pm for an evening with yours truly, but I recommend getting there early to sample some of the excellent food available. In the meantime, enjoy some inspirational music from around the world!

Giovanni Bottesini: Composer, Conductor, The Paganini of the double bass, who elevated the instrument from background support to center stage.
Originally a violinist from a talented but poor musical family, Giovanni wanted to attend the Milan Conservatory. A scholarship was his only option. Unfortunately by the time he was able to apply, the only positions left were for bassoon and double bass. Unfazed Giovanni shed for a few weeks, nailed the audition and after 4 years of study, went on to become the most famous double bass soloist of his time.

However, one of these things is not like the other unfortunately. *It’s important folks to always check the record before you buy it, because you may find yourself with a copy of Led Zeppelin’s I in the sleeve of Physical Graffiti, and that can be a real boner kill.
But luckily for me the people who were having this garage sale were also the same people who helped fix up our van’s A/C (SMALL WORLD)…So they said I could exchange the record, and I traded it out for these beauties!
Yeah, pretty fucking awesome!
Tonight we’re hitting in Charleston, SC at a most excellent spot – The Charleston Pour House!!

We’ve run into some pretty awesome green rooms the past couple days. Lexington, KY turnt up on Wednesday at The Burl. They furnished the green room with some interesting choices and a great record collection.
Zanzabar also had an Irish/Hawaiian woman named Jayden who, without asking, made quick work of cornrows in my hair.
Tonight is at Scruffy City Hall in Knoxville! Come grab a cold one, show kicks off at 10pm with the Jangling Sparrows. Cheers,

Tonight, we return to Louisville for another great night in Kentucky at the one and only Zanzabar, where we’ll be joined by Louisville’s very own Owoso! Show starts at 9pm, but I recommend getting there early to grab some food at their killer kitchen. Come make the hang and catch our freshest tunes!

During Blissfest I had the absolute pleasure of seeing Baskery, a ridiculously badass trio of sisters from Stockholm, Sweden. Consisting of Sunniva on guitar, Stella on upright bass, and Greta on banjo and snare and bass drum played with her feet. These sisters rock out hard and sing glorious three part harmony throughout. I was lucky enough to hang out with them for a little bit and I got Stella and Sunniva to play Suzy. It was a great day. And now without further ado, the most beautiful bassist and guitarist from Stockholm, Stella and Sunniva!
