Ladies and gentlemen, the polls are in, and it’s official: the people have chosen album cover #3. The second one was close behind, but #3 ended up conquering all in the end.

This sweet baby’s droppin’ – disc, lyrics, cellophane & all – March 30th at the Maison here in New Orleans on Frenchmen St. We’re proud to announce that Alex McMurray and friends will be opening the show, and Magnetic Ear will be playing the afterparty. It’s going down in a very big way ladies and gentlemen – this Monday, February 20th – Lundi Gras as we call it here in NOLA – at the Maison on Frenchmen.

Dirty Bourbon River Show takes the stage. This is our first New Orleans show of 2012, and we’ve got a whole hellofalot to show you. But no point talking ourselves up – you know how we do.

Debauche (New Orleans, LA) takes the stage. Russian folk punk stomp music in the vein of Gogol. They do it right. Don’t miss this shit.

1am

Vegabond Swing (Lafayette, LA) takes the stage. Gypsy Jazz Circus Punk Rock to close out the night. Damn fine players. Crazy Music. Just what you need.

… And so, that’s quite the wild 3 ring circus to round out your Mardi Gras, ya? And if that wasn’t enough, guess who’ll be DJing all night up stairs in the Penthouse? None other than Mr. Mannie Fresh himself. And if that wasn’t enough, guess what else?

1 Our Last New Orleans Show of the Year

This Saturday we will be playing our last New Orleans show of the year, with our dearest friends – Greensboro NC’s Holy Ghost Tent Revival – together again in the Crescent City on the same stage we first met on nearly two years ago…

We and Holy Ghost have previously as a traveling co-bill played 15 different cities spread across 7 states, and this Saturday will mark our 23rd show together. Come witness the relentless energy and chemistry of two incredibly talented up-and-coming acts as we throw down back-to-back sets like so:

11:30pm Dirty Bourbon River Show

Show is at Cafe Prytania – 3445 Prytania Street (across from Touro Infirmary) $5 cover, 18+, you can smoke and drink at the bar, they’ve got the hard stuff, and we’ll be pouring free whiskey too, like we always do when we’re home with good guests to visit.

Tonight marks the Dirty Bourbon River Show’s 200th show. It’s gonna be a special one; we’re playing a co-bill with our dear friends the Howdies. Ever heard of them?

The Howdies are a 4 piece dark bluesrock outfit tinged with rockabilly, punk, and the sounds of spaghetti westerns. They are 100% Louisiana made with 100% pure lightning, and we have done many shows with them in multiple cities/states before. Dig it:

2 For The Love Of Wild Video

Calling all for the love of wild film – we are looking for children, exotic animals (preferably in pairs), and a full-sized yacht to borrow for our next music video, to be shot in New Orleans and on the road next February & March by French filmmaker and media wizard Paul Oroszlan. This spectacular and magnificent project needs not only your children, exotic pets, and a yacht, but also your ideas as well – we’re going big for this one, so tell us what kind of wild things you would like to see in our next video, and if you know where to find them! Leave your feedback, children/pet dietary habits, etc in the comments section below
