0 Dirty Bourbon debuts at ISIS!

I’m trying to count up how many times we’ve performed in Asheville, that’s including busking as well, and we just can’t be sure anymore. We’ve been back so many times it feels like a home away from home. We’ve had the opportunity to play around the city at different bars, clubs, corners, and brew halls, and tonight we’re adding a new spot to the list.

Tonight we’re shaking the walls at Isis Restaurant and Music Hall. We’re joined by locals Raising Caine and it all kicks off at 9 PM! But make your way down before then because doors open at 5 and there’s plenty of good food.

We’re excited to make our debut in such a beautiful place and hope you can join us!

We are also incredibly thrilled to officially announce that our total amount raised for our Kickstarter project is exactly $10,600. To everyone who shared, supported and donated, we did it, folks! But really you did it, and in return we, along with Craig and everyone at The Living Room, will sweat and bleed to give you the best record we can. You have opened a huge door for us, and we’re gonna be charging through with guns blazing!

Thank you!
Boots.

Where Brooklyn At?!?!

I gotta say, as far as big metropolitan cities go, this place is Beautiful! In a way it reminds me of home – a crazy mix of cultures, excellent food, great music, fun people, and lots of pride. That’s what I love most – people here take pride in the city. To me, that speaks loudest!

Here’s a small playlist dedicated to my other favorite big city – BROOKLYN!!

The Beastie Boys- No Sleep till Brooklyn

Youngblood Brass Band – Brooklyn

Gang Starr – The Place We Dwell

Yasiin Bey (aka. Mos Def) – Brooklyn

Yours truly will be hitting with full force tonight as we take the stage at the famous Brooklyn Bowl. Starting it off is Nashville’s Cataline Crime, followed by Charleston favorites Dangermuffin. Then it’s Bourbon Dirty till 11:30. See y’all there!

Boil the macaroni. Drain and set aside. Grab the iron skillet and throw an old hamburger patty or two in it. Break that shit up and add some simple white queso (salted to taste) and a touch of salsa. Mix it all together then add the beef to the macaroni in a pot on low. Mix in a simple orange queso (salted to taste) and some red pepper flakes. Once it’s all nice and thick together, ya gots your filling.

Grease a foot by foot by 2″ pan with a butterstick top, and laydown 1/2 of the filling flat in the bottom. Add a layer of freshly sliced parm, then add the other 1/2 of the filling. Top lightly w/ bread crumbs, a little shredded parm, then some more bread crumbs. Bake at 200 for 10mins, then broil dat shit for 2 mins on hi until the bread crumbs turn golden brown. Blammo! Crazy man casserole.

Tonight! A Spectacular & Magnificent Jamboree at the Big Top! Yessir ladies and gentlemen, come out early for one of the most exquisite, sultry, tickling summer evenings we’ve ever put together…

It’s going up at the Big Top (1638 Clio St.), 6pm tonight (Sunday August 1st) – we’ll begin with a 5 course meal, then at 8pm Dirty Bourbon will take the stage (our last show of the summer) followed by our North Carolinian friends Holy Ghost Tent Revival at 9pm.

Nothing in history will ever be like tonight. The cunning uniqueness of tonight’s occasion is spilling over the brim; I suggest you come drink from this cup before it’s all gone.
