A few months back we stopped off at a small, makeshift recording studio in the newsroom of the Daily Camera, a news outfit in Boulder. Second Story Garage brings in local and national acts to come in to hang and play a few tunes, which they record and share with loads and loads of people online. It was a good time, and we’re happy to finally share with everyone what we laid down there.
A big thank you to everyone at Second Story – Ashley and Quentin, Duncan, Paul, Kaufman and Kevin – for having us over! Hope y’all enjoy!
Édith Piaf, also known as “The Little Sparrow,” was a French singer who became an icon of France during World War II. Born in 1915 on the streets near Belleville, she grew up in a bordello, eventually becoming a vaudevillian street performer in her teens with her acrobat father. It wasn’t until 1935, when she was finally discovered by a nightclub owner in Paris, that she began singing professionally and would shake up the world in the 40s with her voice. Her career, which lasted until her death in 63′, produced many hits, including her most well known “La Vie en Rose.”

Thank you everybody who helped out – Mark Brut, all the venues, the people that housed us & danced their asses off, Jaime & Company for routing us out here, & most importantly, Rhino Bill – for keeping us alive and getting us from A to B. From the bottom of our (Noah, Bootsy, Big Charlie, Ehyojimbo Bassman Abdul Jabar & Matt James Thomas Holding Things) hot bourbon soaked hearts, Thank You. Goodbye Colorado.
