Check out this awesome footage! Full set, flying cameras, fancy clothes, 1080HD, the works! Special thanks to Ashley Sampson and Lea Lintern for hooking it up. Here’s five of our favorite picks and then a link to the entire performance at the end:
After all the instrumental beds and overdubs were complete, Wes, Noah, and Boots went back into the studio to mix the new tracks. Since watching three guys sitting in chairs for hours on end isn’t very exciting, here are some cool murals from the Mirliton Festival site in the Bywater!
We’ve finished up all of the instrumental beds for the new album! It was great getting back into the studio and working with Wes, one of the best recording engineers around New Orleans. We’re really looking forward to how this new one turns out. Stay tuned for more updates.
It is time for yet another chapter in the rich and ever-transforming history of the Dirty Bourbon River Show. On December 31st, 2013 we will be releasing our 8th studio album – “Accordion Anthology” – via digital download on our Bandcamp Site. A special edition 180 gram vinyl will follow. Produced by Buck Johnson and the Hootenanny Kid and recorded in New Orleans over a five year period at Piety St. Studios, The Music Shed and Loyola University, “Accordion Anthology” features a new accordion-based arrangement of one song from each of DBRS’s past studio albums, intertwined with new, unheard, unreleased material.
