0 Our 4th Album is Ready – Only $1.11! Limited Time Offer!
The Dirty Bourbon River Show Releases Their 4th Studio Album - "The Old Timey-AfroPop Jibberish Junction"
What in the hell are you talking about Dirty Bourbon River Show? Just what in the hell are you talking about?
Well, our 4th album’s ready. Just picked up the masters today. It’s called “The Old-Timey AfroPop Jibberish Junction”:
Pre-order it on our Bandcamp Site now for only $1.11 and get 3 of the album’s tracks today!
Then, when the album comes out on 11/11/11 – you’ll receive an email with a link to download a full quality version, along with the album art, liner notes & lyrics.
The album will definitely NOT be costing $1.11 when it comes out, so I’d take advantage of this generous offer now.
And just why exactly are we offering such a ludicrously good deal – unannounced, straight out of left field?
Because we’re batshit crazy. Why else?
Hope you enjoy!

0 An Incredible Weekend
Thank you Baton Rouge, Mobile, Lafayette and New Orleans for giving us & Holy Ghost Tent Revival such an incredible weekend. Thank you Tin Men & Chubby Carrier for joining in on the festivities. Thank you everyone who came out and supported us. Man, this weekend was something else.

And for everybody outside of this deep south bubble Dirty Bourb was born in, we will be coming to your city soon. We’ve got a whole host of dates on the Eastern Seaboard this May & June & some westward dates to follow in the Fall.

0 One Week Until The Greatest Fxxking Show Ever!
April 2nd, 2011 - A day to be remembered...
Only one week to go until our greatest fxxking show yet. Yessiree ladies and gentlemen, we haven’t been this excited in a while – got a huge one planned for you ~ its going down like this:
Saturday, April 2nd
The Blue Nile on Frenchmen
Show kicks off at 10pm with our dear friends from Greensboro, NC, the one and only Holy Ghost Tent Revival. This 6 piece string/brass extravaganza is the perfect mixture of foot-stompin’ love makin’ folk/roots/blues/dixieland/rock and more. Say hello:
Then, at 11pm, yours truly will be taking the stage, performing for you our newest album – Volume Two. Songs you’ve never heard, old familiars, and everything in between. Good friends, bourbon pours, fireballs and more. So excited to be sharing this newest one with you. We sincerely believe it is our greatest work yet:
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, guess who’ll be closing out the evening? None other than New Orleans’ own the Tin Men. Washboard Chaz, Matt Perrine, Alex McMurray – these cats kill:
Tickets are $10, $8 if you click “attending” on the Facebook event, and free for those who pre-purchase the album on our Bandcamp site.
If you can’t make the New Orleans Show (which you should, even if you live 300 miles away) you can catch us and Holy Ghost in Baton Rouge on Thursday, Mobile on Friday, and Lafayette an Sunday with Chubby Carrier.
Don’t miss this one. It is going to be our greatest fxxking show yet.
0 Volume Two is Here!!!
The Dirty Bourbon River Show released their 3rd studio album, Volume Two
We just couldn’t wait. We began allowing worldwide digital download of Volume Two tonight at 12:01 AM CST on dbrs.bandcamp.com
We priced the album – temporarily in this unannounced early interim period – at $20. We did this because the last one (Free Love) was completely free, and this new online bundle includes some sweet extra goodies ~ in addition to the full-quality download you get a special digisheet of the artwork, liner notes & lyrics + your choice of either:
(a) a spot on the guest list at our CD release party in New Orleans and a free, reserved, and autographed physical copy of the album waiting for you at the merch table that night
or, for you out-of-town-folks:
(b) an autographed copy mailed to your house free-of-charge on the day of the CD release party + a sticker and a personalized note from the band.
Ya, that’s a whole lot of stuff packed up in this sweet little baby:

Then, on April 2nd (Volume Two’s official release date) the album will drop to $9.99 for digital download (without the extra goodies) and will be available on iTunes and Amazon as well.
That night we will be performing our new album at the Blue Nile on Frenchmen Street in New Orleans. Musical guests will include:
—- The Tin Men and Holy Ghost Tent Revival —-
Both of these bands are incredible, and we are extremely lucky to have them play with us.
This unprecedented 3 ring circus will start at 10pm and will be $10 at the door for those who did not pre-purchase the album. The Blue Nile only holds 300 people, so I’d grab your goodies and get your spot while they last.
For those in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Mobile, we’ve got shows in your town that weekend with Holy Ghost Tent Revival as well – check our sidebar.
Whether you live in or around New Orleans and plan on attending the live show, or you live somewhere else and plan on just listening to or downloading the album, we hope that you enjoy this new piece of art as much as we did making it.
We are extremely proud to bring these new sounds to your ears, and anxious for your feedback.
Enjoy!
Sincerely,
~ The Dirty Bourbon River Show
P.S. Also, apparently, there are some golden tickets floating around…

0 Dirty Bourbon in Gambit Weekly
Dirty Bourbon River Show appears in this week's Gambit
Noah Bonaparte Pais just did a really nice, well thought-out piece on us in this week’s Gambit, check it out:

Only a band as genetically theatrical as the Dirty Bourbon River Show could subdivide a 30-minute EP into a three-act affair. In July, the New Orleans ensemble issued Free Love, its second self-released record this year, as merch-table fodder and an appetite-whetting intermezzo between Vol. 1, its February debut, and Vol. 2, due in spring 2011. But the platter took on a life of its own: a triple-gatefold, snow-globe carnival whose little big top houses three different introductions and even more personalities, segueing seamlessly from kazoo- and clarinet-blown circus shenanigans to smooth-croon lounge, and finely fingered folk ballads to banjo hoedowns, jazzy sax solos and staccato piano jams…
