Today, to show appreciation for the divine feminine, we feature a artist from Tennessee, known as the “Empress of the Blues”. Her name is Bessie Smith, and this world lost her a little too soon. May she inspire and uplift you with her sweet, yet gritty vocals.
Tonight we take stage at Exit/ In in Nashville, TN with Kim Logan and Randy Reed. Doors at 8pm, Show at 9. So excited to grace this amazing city with our dirty brass.

Yours truly has taken on the record Rolling Stone Magazine lists as the GREATEST RECORD OF ALL TIME – Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. Two weeks spend learning, rearranging, and performing the devil out of this beast of a record, and what we have now is a show second to none!
It’s happening nowhere else other than the infamous D.B.A.!! Yours truly will play two sets – the first stuffed to it’s ankles in original Dirty Bourbon material – the real good shit!!
Then it will be time for us to share with you what we have created with a little help from The Beatles. It starts tonight at 10pm, I repeat 10PM, so don’t be late!!

I love vinyl records. I LOVE them. I love how they feel, how they look, and especially how they sound. The past few years I’ve been digging through bins and shelves and am very proud of the collection that grows in my room. So much in fact that I would love to share it you! So with nothing left to say, let’s see what spinning in Bootsy’s Box of Records!
Do you know The Iceman? Have you heard the voice that belongs to Mississippi born Jerry Butler? A key member in The Impressions, Jerry Butler is behind some of the best love songs to come out of the 60s. The Iceman Cometh(’68) is Jerry Butler’s 11th studio album, and it is side-to-side one of my favorite records right now. On top of how great it sounds, the record comes with a fantastic signed photograph of the Iceman.
And yes folks the music sounds as good as he looks. Here’s the song “Never Give You Up” featured on Side 2 on The Ice Man Cometh.

Where Brooklyn At?!?!
I gotta say, as far as big metropolitan cities go, this place is Beautiful! In a way it reminds me of home – a crazy mix of cultures, excellent food, great music, fun people, and lots of pride. That’s what I love most – people here take pride in the city. To me, that speaks loudest!

Doors will open at 8 PM and The Shambles will kick it off at 9 PM!! Dirty Bourbon will take the stage afterwards, supplying the masses with our high-energy, carnival-brass, rock n’ roll!! It’s gonna be a wild and whiskey soaked night, don’t miss out!!
After a fun show in Cambridge last night, we are heading up to Burlington, VT to perform at the Red Square. Show time is 7pm so make sure you get there with plenty of time to get some drinks in and warm up for a hell of a night.
