0 Important Things Donors Should Know
Yes people the time has come! The new album is ready and en route to Dirty Bourbon HQ, and we are getting the rewards together for those folks who donated last year and helped make it a reality!

Right now, as we get the pieces together, we are sending out an email to retrieve addresses and such from everyone. So be on the lookout for an email from us inquiring about shipping info from you.
We hope y’all are as excited as we are for this new addition to the Dirty Bourbon catalog.
Upward and Onward!
1 Everything You Need To Know About Our New Album
The album is called “Important Things Humans Should Know”. Here is a picture of its cover:
Here is a exclusive stream of the opening track “Ezmerelda”, courtesy of our good friends over at 9Bullets.net:
You can pre-order the album on our BANDCAMP:
Here is the tracklisting:
The album will be released worldwide on April 7th, 2015 via our website, iTunes, Bandcamp, Spotify, Amazon, blah blah blah, and all those other hunky dory little download & stream sites. Additionally, we’ll be having a hometown release party on April 4th at DBA on Frenchmen if you want to come grab a physical copy early.
Can’t make it to New Orleans?
Don’t you worry, we’ll be doing a 4 month national tour to follow. We just posted 16 new dates on our sidebar, with many more pouring in everyday! Don’t see your city there yet? Don’t worry, we’re coming for ya!… Also, on or before the album’s release, our wonderful Kickstarter donors should be receiving their sweet gift packages in the mail. Again, so so so much thanks to everyone who made this project possible – we wouldn’t have been able to make it this dope without you.
So, did you get what you were looking for? Because if not, here’s a little icing to top it all off – a live rendition of “Ezmerelda” we just finished with our friends over at the Sugar Shack Sessions:
Cheers!

0 Kickstarter Launch – Help us fund our new album!
We’ve been keeping our lips sealed about this for quite some time now, and are super excited to finally announce the big news: today we’re launching a Kickstarter funding campaign to help produce our brand new studio album (coming in the spring of 2015)! Producing a top-notch record is a very costly endeavor. We want the end result to be something of true quality and as special as our fans are to us. Head over to our project page on Kickstarter to learn more about the new album and how any funds raised will be used to create the record…plus, we’ve got some pretty fun backer rewards to peruse as well! Think backstage meet and greets, free digital and/or physical copies of the new album, shout outs in the liner notes and other such goodies. Thank you for your continued support of our creative process. We couldn’t do it without you and greatly appreciate your consideration to pitch in on the project and help spread the word!
0 What We’ve Been Up To Lately
Good times in Jackson, MS last night. But so much has happened since then and when we last talked. Hmm, let’s see… where to begin?
The six of us (Me’n’Charlie’n’Bootsy’n’Jimmy’n’Matt & Clay) arrived homeless back in New Orleans at the end of June from our S/SE tour. Bootsy left for Europe for a month, and the remaining five of us found a nice, cheap, big place in the Marigny to lay low for a while. We now live at 1234 Fake St:
We’ve been getting by, hustlin’, bustlin’ & busking (catch us today in Jackson Square and on Frenchmen late afternoonish, getting a slow start) & playing club gigs when we can pick up a drummer (Dave Shirley from E Company has been a godsend ringer). Catch us at Moe’s BBQ in Daphne, AL this Friday, and at the Blue Nile on Frenchmen Street this Saturday with E Company and the Alex McMurray Band. This show is going to kill…
Also, we’ve picked up a manager – the venerable miss Jaime Coggins. From Holy Ghost Tent Revival (of whom she also manages) to P-funk to Jaco Pastorius to Roberta Fleck, her taste is direct and without falter, and her judgment – keen and sharp like Japanese folded steel. She’ll be handling most of our business end from now on, I’ve updated our contact section should you need to contact her regarding gigs, private parties for the Queen of Atlantis, etc. Here’s a little Leonard Cohen / Dr. Dog mash-up to honor our new union:
Looking forward, we’ve got some big things planned for the rest of the summer. Bootsy gets back from Europe at the beginning of next month, and then the 6 of us will be hitting the road hard (check the sidebar for dates ->) – got another South/Southeast tour (TX, LA, MS, AL, TN, FL, SC, NC, VA) this August, then, come September, we’re headed to Colorado…
Big things in the horizon my friends…
It’s a funny thing, how life moves at such an incredible pace.
Your Friend,
~ Noah Adams
P.S. Our 4th album is fully recorded and currently being mastered by Bhob Rainey (who also did Volume Two, a true gentlemen of sound). Me’n’Charlie just finished hand-drawing the cover art ourselves this weekend. Peep it:
0 Volume Two is Here!!!
The Dirty Bourbon River Show released their 3rd studio album, Volume Two
We just couldn’t wait. We began allowing worldwide digital download of Volume Two tonight at 12:01 AM CST on dbrs.bandcamp.com
We priced the album – temporarily in this unannounced early interim period – at $20. We did this because the last one (Free Love) was completely free, and this new online bundle includes some sweet extra goodies ~ in addition to the full-quality download you get a special digisheet of the artwork, liner notes & lyrics + your choice of either:
(a) a spot on the guest list at our CD release party in New Orleans and a free, reserved, and autographed physical copy of the album waiting for you at the merch table that night
or, for you out-of-town-folks:
(b) an autographed copy mailed to your house free-of-charge on the day of the CD release party + a sticker and a personalized note from the band.
Ya, that’s a whole lot of stuff packed up in this sweet little baby:

Then, on April 2nd (Volume Two’s official release date) the album will drop to $9.99 for digital download (without the extra goodies) and will be available on iTunes and Amazon as well.
That night we will be performing our new album at the Blue Nile on Frenchmen Street in New Orleans. Musical guests will include:
—- The Tin Men and Holy Ghost Tent Revival —-
Both of these bands are incredible, and we are extremely lucky to have them play with us.
This unprecedented 3 ring circus will start at 10pm and will be $10 at the door for those who did not pre-purchase the album. The Blue Nile only holds 300 people, so I’d grab your goodies and get your spot while they last.
For those in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Mobile, we’ve got shows in your town that weekend with Holy Ghost Tent Revival as well – check our sidebar.
Whether you live in or around New Orleans and plan on attending the live show, or you live somewhere else and plan on just listening to or downloading the album, we hope that you enjoy this new piece of art as much as we did making it.
We are extremely proud to bring these new sounds to your ears, and anxious for your feedback.
Enjoy!
Sincerely,
~ The Dirty Bourbon River Show
P.S. Also, apparently, there are some golden tickets floating around…
2 New Radiohead Album This Saturday
The Dirty Bourbon River Show discusses the New Radiohead Album Being Released This Saturday
Finally, after 3 1/2 years of waiting, Radiohead will be releasing their 8th full-length studio album this Satuday
Unlike their last album In Rainbows (which is in my opinion their best so far, followed by Ok Computer) fans will not be able to name their own price this time. The new album – titled The King of Limbs – will be available in a variety of priced formats, ranging from $53 for 2 vinyls, cd, artwork & more to $9 for an mp3 digidownload. One lucky buyer will win a signed 2 track vinyl. Fans can view the different price formats and pre-order HERE.
I guess the real question is “will The King of Limbs be as good as In Rainbows?” I guess we’ll find out this Saturday.
0 Facebook / Free Mp3 from New Album
We here at D.B.R.L.L.C. got a lot of cool stuff coming up this 2011 – but why don’t you enjoy some free music in the meantime?:~
Check out our facebook here and if you hit the “like” button and post “I want my shit” on our wall w/ your email we’ll send you a free mp3 from our new, unreleased album, Vol II…
The mp3 is a track called “From Time to Time” written by our dear friend Jacob Anderson of Portland, OR’s the Bell Boys, who will be visiting us here in NOLA this march. Look for it…
