Wild, perfect night at Shakori yesterday evening in Carson’s Grove (and today too at the Earth Day 2nd line!). Thank you all Shakori folk for giving us one of the best damn times ever. We’ll definitely be back this Fall.
Wish we could stay all weekend; driving to Wilmington now for a gig in Wrightsville Beach – Palm Room – 10pm. Hope all coastal NC folk who aren’t at Shakori can make it out tonight to this one – Gonna keep this party going baby. Ad Astera per Aspera.

This Saturday we will be playing our last New Orleans show of the year, with our dearest friends – Greensboro NC’s Holy Ghost Tent Revival – together again in the Crescent City on the same stage we first met on nearly two years ago…
We and Holy Ghost have previously as a traveling co-bill played 15 different cities spread across 7 states, and this Saturday will mark our 23rd show together. Come witness the relentless energy and chemistry of two incredibly talented up-and-coming acts as we throw down back-to-back sets like so:

11:30pm Dirty Bourbon River Show
Show is at Cafe Prytania – 3445 Prytania Street (across from Touro Infirmary) $5 cover, 18+, you can smoke and drink at the bar, they’ve got the hard stuff, and we’ll be pouring free whiskey too, like we always do when we’re home with good guests to visit.

Only one week to go until our greatest fxxking show yet. Yessiree ladies and gentlemen, we haven’t been this excited in a while – got a huge one planned for you ~ its going down like this:

Show kicks off at 10pm with our dear friends from Greensboro, NC, the one and only Holy Ghost Tent Revival. This 6 piece string/brass extravaganza is the perfect mixture of foot-stompin’ love makin’ folk/roots/blues/dixieland/rock and more. Say hello:
Then, at 11pm, yours truly will be taking the stage, performing for you our newest album – Volume Two. Songs you’ve never heard, old familiars, and everything in between. Good friends, bourbon pours, fireballs and more. So excited to be sharing this newest one with you. We sincerely believe it is our greatest work yet:
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, guess who’ll be closing out the evening? None other than New Orleans’ own the Tin Men. Washboard Chaz, Matt Perrine, Alex McMurray – these cats kill:
