Tonight come join “Three Rings of Funk: A Spectacular Summer Circus” at the Blue Nile on Frenchmen Street. Three amazing local bands will be musically stroking your everythang in this order:
10pm: Alex McMurray Band ~ This stone cold streetstyle songwriter – in the vein of Tom Waits and Danny Barker – comes heavy with an aural arsenal of a band: Carlo Nuccio, Joe Cabral and Bill Malchow
Midnight: E Company ~ NOLA Jazz Soul Funk to bring you to the moon. Also a quintet, and just as dynamically heavy as the first 2 acts, E Company packs memorizing melodies with tight, intricate beats and fat syncopated grooves that put a smile on your face and a stranger’s hand firmly on your ass.
Do not miss this shit. These three amazing bands will light you the fuck up. Come get some.
Tonight we’ll be rocking the Red Stick for a 3rd time with yet another killer 3 ring circus at the Spanish Moon. Dirty Bourbon’ll be starting the night off right at 10pm sharp with a no-hands-barred set chalked full of big announcements, beefed up bari/tenor horn sections, and yet another new song. Following at 11pm will be Phantom Party BR locals the Have Nauts.
A power trio founded on “Motown and dirty rock’n’roll,” the Have Nauts boasts a promising line-up with Jason Ourso on guits, guts and voice, Michael Roy on drums and Cohen Hartmen on bass. There’s a really good article in Stereo Gumbo on these fellas here. For extra listening pleasure check out their bassist’s other project – Cohen Hartmen and the Bone Machine – here.
Finally, closing out the night will be none other than our dear friends Glasgow. This will be our 5th show with the Craft Brothers & Company (they’re also on our upcoming album Vol II) and every time we play with them something magic seems to happen.
Glasgow will fuck you up on stage, but in the bedroom they're actually very gentle lovers
You’ve probably (hopefully) heard of Glasgow by now, but if not, I highly recommend you check out their unique brand of classy, downright nasty rock’n’roll here.
If after that you still want more, peep this impromptu megaphone gypsy string stomp Dirty Bourb and Glasgow threw together at the Dragon’s Den last year:
Hope to see you there!

P.S. Special announcement on Sunday – check the interwebs!
Good times last night at the Blind Mule in Mobile, AL. Thank you to the Howdies, the Blackjacks, and everyone else who came out – that was one rockin’ show.
Make sure and come see us in Mobile again at Callaghan’s on March 5th after the parade – we’ve got some special antics for you next time around.
Shooting a music video for “Mad” next weekend then catch us the following weekend (2/25) at the Spanish Moon in Baton Rouge with Glasgow and the Have-Naughts.
