I found these guys on late night public access TV in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. They were playing a show in Nashville and opening up for legends of rock The Who. I watched for an hour as lead singer Ty Taylor spit gospel and soul, as the band pumped out good old fashion Rock and Roll. I was thoroughly impressed….see what you think.
As for Dirty Bourbon River Show, were on our way to Nashville to play the 5 Spot tonight. So if your anywhere close come on down and party with us! Show starts around 9:30.

Few people have had such a pronounced effect on folk music as Doc Watson. I started listening to Doc when I was about 2, my dad would play his cassette tapes on long trips in the car. His smooth playing style and friendly voice made him one of the most respected flat-picking/finger-picking guitar players the world has seen. Check him out for yourself:

The Blues and poverty go together like pancakes and syrup, it’s nearly impossible to have one without the other. This song written by the Chips in 1956 is a perfect example of an artist turning the hunger pains of pauperism into something we can all have a good laugh at. Check out Elwood Blues performing “Rubber Biscuit” in 1979.
