Here’s the last of them. God damn did we look spiffy! If anybody wants to sponsor a permanent set of red jackets like these for DBRS, please let us know! Enjoy!:
Check back tomorrow for deets on a new adventure we’re about to embark upon. Till then…
Tomorrow night (6/5/13 7-10pm) at the National Historic Museum the Dirty Bourbon River Show will headline the 69th Annual Radio & Television Correspondents Dinner in Washington D.C. Other entertainment includes Washboard Chaz Blues Trio, the Storyville Stompers Brass Band, jazz pianist John Royen, Mardi Gras Indians, and guest Chef Emeril. Yup, Emeril.
Unfortunately, the event will not be broadcasted on CSPAN this year as originally scheduled. This is the 1st year it will not be – for some reason CSPAN deemed this year’s programming to be “not a news event” – whatever that means… is it due to the “New Orleans” theme? Who knows… But well be sure to post pics & video of the event as soon as we have it; these new red suits we rented are something to be seen!
It’s official! This June we’ll be performing at the 2013 Radio & Television Correspondents Dinner in Washington. The event is traditionally attended by the President of the United States and will be broadcast nationally on CSPAN. This is a huge honor and we are looking forward to getting spiffy and representing New Orleans in the best way possible.
Last year, Wayne Brady… This year, the Dirty Bourbon River Show
We also have a whole bunch of new showdates posted on the left side bar as well <— check ’em out, tons of new ones, including a Lundi Gras party with New Orleans’ own Soul Rebels at the Blue Nile on February 11th.
Headed to Piety Studio in the Bywater tomorrow to begin recording Volume IV – stay tuned!
People around the globe are waiting with baited breath for details on the new Dark Knight movie. The Dirty Bourbon River Show is here to reveal the truth about the Caped Crusader’s new direction… and I think we will all be pleased.
