Two new records from the Dirty Bourbon River Show
The Dirty Bourbon River Show released their 3rd studio album, Volume Two
We just couldn’t wait. We began allowing worldwide digital download of Volume Two tonight at 12:01 AM CST on dbrs.bandcamp.com
We priced the album – temporarily in this unannounced early interim period – at $20. We did this because the last one (Free Love) was completely free, and this new online bundle includes some sweet extra goodies ~ in addition to the full-quality download you get a special digisheet of the artwork, liner notes & lyrics + your choice of either:
(a) a spot on the guest list at our CD release party in New Orleans and a free, reserved, and autographed physical copy of the album waiting for you at the merch table that night
or, for you out-of-town-folks:
(b) an autographed copy mailed to your house free-of-charge on the day of the CD release party + a sticker and a personalized note from the band.
Ya, that’s a whole lot of stuff packed up in this sweet little baby:

Then, on April 2nd (Volume Two’s official release date) the album will drop to $9.99 for digital download (without the extra goodies) and will be available on iTunes and Amazon as well.
That night we will be performing our new album at the Blue Nile on Frenchmen Street in New Orleans. Musical guests will include:
—- The Tin Men and Holy Ghost Tent Revival —-
Both of these bands are incredible, and we are extremely lucky to have them play with us.
This unprecedented 3 ring circus will start at 10pm and will be $10 at the door for those who did not pre-purchase the album. The Blue Nile only holds 300 people, so I’d grab your goodies and get your spot while they last.
For those in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Mobile, we’ve got shows in your town that weekend with Holy Ghost Tent Revival as well – check our sidebar.
Whether you live in or around New Orleans and plan on attending the live show, or you live somewhere else and plan on just listening to or downloading the album, we hope that you enjoy this new piece of art as much as we did making it.
We are extremely proud to bring these new sounds to your ears, and anxious for your feedback.
Enjoy!
Sincerely,
~ The Dirty Bourbon River Show
P.S. Also, apparently, there are some golden tickets floating around…
Dirty Bourbon River Show and friends play the Maison on Frenchmen on January 22nd, 2011
A Cappella snippet of "My Tiny Little Friend & I", from the Dirty Bourbon River Show's 3rd upcoming album, Volume Two.
Little A Cappella snippet Me & Big Charlie did of “My Tiny Little Friend & I”, a track from our 3rd upcoming album, Volume Two.
The song is 7 minutes in length, chronicling the adventures of a man & his tiny little friend as they go to the carnival, he looses his tiny little friend, and the man must then rescue him from the dark underbelly of the circus, fighting off gin-drunk big top mamas and monocled assassins in a dark, dark world, tiered with rabbit holes and strange colorful pathways of light, ducking bullets and hungry acid-riddled chimeras. Will they escape? Or be lost forever? The song features the Craft Brothers (Jack & Sam) and Booty Trove Brass Band. It is our mother fucking Bohemian Rhapsody. Look for it late this March 2011.

Dirty Bourbon River Show play a musician's clinic at the Big Top on 1638 Clio St. in New Orleans from 5-7pm on October 8th, 2010
An update on the October 2010 doings of New Orleans vaudeville rock band the Dirty Bourbon River Show
Hello everybody – new month, new weather – time to get the ball rolling again. Couple of things we’re working on:
1) Our 3rd album – Volume Two. Just finished mapping out another song for this beast, titled “Mad” (check it here). Have about 8 out of 10 songs started. Tracking a few of them down at the Music Shed on the 23rd (thanks Elizabeth!). This album is really shaping out – and I’m really happy with how our individual sound is developing.
2) October Tour. Slipping out of NOLA for a minute at the end of the month to play a few shows & festivals in the Carolinas and Virginia with our dear friends Holy Ghost Tent Revival. Got insurance seats in the van now (just need seatbelts). Can’t express how f’in excited I am for this run. Yargh.
3) Causes. Playing a clinic for the children of the Big Top on the 8th, then a gulf spill aid festival called WarehouseFest 2010, then closing out the month with Take the Lake festival on the 30th in Wilmington, NC.
4) My uncle – Bryan Adams – died last Thursday. He was a great man and supporter of the Dirty Bourbon River Show – if you remember back to our Kickstarter project last may – he was the largest of our donors – donating $667. Don’t ask how he came to that number; he was a wild, and incalculable man. A great American. Everything all rolled into one. Check the obit here.
RIP Uncle B.
