As the van pulled into the little driveway behind last night’s venue here in Richmond, Virginia, my eyes caught sight of one of my favorite back alley phenomenons – a street art gallery. I spoke briefly with the man who owned the restaurant next door after he’d joined us in the alley to work on one of his own pieces. I asked a bit about the artwork and learned that in addition to his rad pink bird-creature creation, the alley also was rocking a killer fish painting done by his two sons, ages 4 and 2, respectively. I was very impressed by all of their work, as well as the other anonymous creations dotting the corridor. If you were to walk down that alley today, you might see something sorta like this:
Tonight, then. We’re returning to Winchester, VA for an ‘evening with’-type shindig, flyin’ solo over at the Bright Box Theater. We hit the stage at 7:30pm, but doors open at 6:30pm so come out, have a beer, and say hi! Tickets will be $17 at the door; advance tickets go for $12. Hopin’ to see some old and new faces tonight!
Best,
Adam
