Dear Good People of Earth,
Yesterday our gig got cancelled and things were looking pretty grim. Then, out of nowhere, our old burlesque promotor Zac came through in the clutch and got us a last minute gig at Kevros and the Backroom Blues Bar. It was here that we met an amazing woman by the name of Melody.
Melody has inspired me to begin a new segment entitled Amazing People We’ve Met On The Road. She is a true Wolfwoman. In addition to raising them her whole life, she lives with an amazing wolf named Blue, she’s also worked for the circus, and has even been in a western with Dennis Quaid before.
It is people like Melody that keep bands like us going. She came out to the show, brought friends, put us up in her amazing house, and stayed up till sunrise plying us with tequila and the most amazing stories – stories of hiking up to the site where her father crashed and retrieving the propeller parts from the wreckage, stories of her Christmas light-clothed friend Juan who is a real 100% bonified alien – a visitor from outer space, and a cat that fucks for 3 days then walks underwater. And she was beautiful when she was young (and still is). Here is a picture of her:
Thank you Melody for being who you are. A true Wolfwoman. And and an amazing human being. We hope to make it to Delray to see you and Blue again soon. Until then, thank you so much.
Sincerely,
Noah Adams & the Dirty Bourbon River Show
P.S. Last show of our monthlong Winter 2012 Tour tonight in Orlando – Wills Pub – 10pm – Be There.
I doubt you’ll meet anyone like her in Orlando! She IS a beauty. And with a Farrah Faucett haircut. Gorgeous! Good luck tonight in OTown. Love your music! Have fun and best wishes.
