Jazz Fest is Here!!! We have 3 amazing performances starting today at 5:30pm as we close out the Lagniappe Stage at the Fairgrounds! Come one, come all!!!
Taking a few days off the road… but no days off of music! We’ve got some exciting performances for y’all to check out while we’re home:
Saturday 4/29 – Jazz Fest, Lagniappe Stage, 530 pm
Sunday 4/30 – Siberia w/ Magnetic Ear, 10 pm
Monday 5/1 – Louisiana Music Factory, 4:30 pm
We take off for our Midwest run of album release touring in 2 weeks, so kick back and relax a little with ya boys! Also, enjoy this little documentary from Kamala Lee, who gave of her time to come to New Orleans to take some candid (and not so candid) moments of our in-studio hijinks as we made the new album.
Happy Easter beautiful family and friends! We played some wild stuff this week: Philadelphia, Charlottesville, Washington D.C., Brooklyn, and Cazenovia. We’re heading even further north from here, including but not limited to Boston and Portland, Maine! We saw a waterfall, crashed in a Manhattan apartment high above the street, and Ed the Englishman has started saying “y’all.”
Onward and upward!
After a looong and much needed night’s sleep, we’ve been taking it easy on our off day for the week. Nick and Noah cooked breakfast, and we ventured out into the city of Richmond, VA to see some sights, including the great James River. First four shows of tour were hype, and we’re off to Philadelphia tomorrow.
Here’s a picture, cause it happened.
Tonight we hit at the Grey Eagle in Asheville (we start at 10pm) and tomorrow at Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro! We’re pumped to see all our NC family and friends, and so happy to be breathing that fresh mountain air. Check out the horns warming up on some Dirty Dozen Brass Band licks for the gig tonight.
The sun is setting on our first day on the road. Morale is high as we push north to spend the night in Knoxville, TN to begin our tour. We’re at Scruffy City Hall tomorrow night at 11:15 pm, with a pit stop at WUTK-FM 90.3 “The Rock” at 3:30 pm for a live, in-studio performance! East coasters, we’re excited to play for yall!
