New Orleans Big Brass Circus Rock Music
Yes y’all! It’s the Show y’all! We’re coming back to beautiful Detroit this weekend for 2 nights at the gorgeous Cliff Bells! That’s tonight and tomorrow night with multiple sets each night so don’t miss what is always a damn good time. We’ve got new tunes for y’all and are excited to get y’all moving to em!

Now for something cool….
Last week we played with Ellis Dyson and the Shambles – awesome band from Carrboro, NC – and Ellis was telling me about this tune by Kamasi Washington. His version of Cherokee. Well he sent me the video a few days ago, and damn it might be on the same level of cool with Freddy Jackson sippin a milkshake in a snow storm (for all my Outkast fans)
Enjoy! – Thanks Ellis
Tonight – Cliff Bell’s @ 9pm! See y’all there!

Ladies and joints,
Tonight we mingle our talents and wildness with those of Abingdon, VA’s own The Boys at the one and only BoneFire Smokehouse! Don’t be deterred by the fact that it ain’t quite Friday, friends, as we’re looking at a real foot-stompin’ party tonight. Kentucky Ale will be joining us with some swag and tasty bourbon beer, there’ll be amazing food and music all night, and here’s the kicker… admission is FREE! Show kicks off at 8pm.
Come kick it with us tonight, you won’t regret it! To get you in the mood, here’s some footage of some excellent beer-smashers. Enjoy!

Esperanza Spalding: Composer, upright and electric bassist, vocalist, perfection.
Words cannot come close to describing how remarkable this woman is. Esperanza was a child prodigy who started her career playing violin with a chamber symphony at the age of 5. A self taught upright and electric bass player with a hauntingly beautiful voice, she became the youngest ever professor at Berkeley. She is such a badass, in 2009 Barack Obama asked for her by name to play for his Nobel Peace Prize concert, and in 2011 won a Grammy for best new artist by beating Justin Bieber so hard, he cried. What is not to love about this woman? And if being a phenomenal, technically proficient, versatile musician somehow wasn’t enough, her beauty is absolutely breathtaking.
P.S. Gig tonight at the Blind Tiger in Greensboro, North Carolina! Show starts at 9.
Yo yo every body! It’s time for yet another edition of BBR!
Today I’m picking the one and only…Ronnie Hawkins – The Hawk!
I picked this bad boy up at Beach Records down in Florida and it’s so good! Every song is kicking and swinging with power and rock n’ roll! And for those that don’t know, Ronnie’s drummer for the early part of his career was the late and forever great Levon Helm. Just check him out hitting the skins in this old video I found of The Hawks on Dick Clark’s Beech Nut Show!
Tonight we’re in Atlanta, GA performing at The Earl with Rodeo Twister! Doors open at 7pm. Showtime is 9pm. $10 to get in!
See y’all there!

Yo, Bill Murray, where y’at? We’re playing at the Pourhouse tonight. You should come on by! We’ve been tryin’ ta hollar at you for nearly half a decade now – we’ve hit up all of our friends, friends of friends, anyone that might know you – even Suzie’s sweet neighbors Les & Paul who I think you play golf with. Calling all those in the Dirty Bourbon network! If anyone knows Bill please invite him on to the show tonight:
The Pourhouse
1977 Maybank Hwy, Charleston, SC 29412

You’re on the list Bill! Hope you can make it!
