Ladies and gentlemen,

Don’t you hate when you’re looking forward to a show and the Universe decides, “No, not this time”? When a night just saturated with good music, good booze, and good times gets snatched from you eager fingers, just like poor King Tantalus??? Woe the day!!!

Fear not, though! Good people of Baltimore, the Dirty Bourbon River Show now returns to deliver all of the goodness that the snow stole from us this past February! Tonight, the snazzy 8×10 will host two solid sets of original music performed by yours truly with Big Swifty kicking things off. Doors are at 8pm, so come do Saturday right with us!

To get you in the mood, I figured I’d take you back a few years and revisit one of our favorite homemade music videos. Remember Crankshaft? Dig this little gem that we shot and directed ourselves right in our old neighborhood. Enjoy!

Around the world, there are those who transcend the boundaries of mere mortals and achieve that which was previously thought impossible. The great Matti Laiho is among their ranks. A composer, arranger, as well as an incredible tubist, Matti Laiho shows everyone what is possible with enough focus and hard work. Not only does he play Carnival of Venice, one of the more technical trumpet showpieces, he plays it on a sousaphone! His virtuosity and musicality is the stuff of legends and should be known by all. So we’ve got some bad news. It is with deepest regrets that I inform you we will not be able to make it to Philadelphia to play at the World Cafe tonight with the Soul Rebels. life on the road can be pretty bumpy sometimes and today we ran into an axel breaker.
Most importantly we are all in one piece and will be back on our normal schedule as of tomorrow. We will most certainly be back to Philly as soon as they’ll have us, and anybody who was coming out to see DBRS tonight should definitely go see the incredible Soul Rebels. If you are not familiar with the innovative stylings of New Orleans own Soul Rebels Brass Band then check out this highly informative and badass video they put together.

So make sure to go out and get some sweet sounds of New Orleans tonight Philadelphia, even though Dirty Bourbon couldn’t make it. We’ll get em’ next time!

It’s the Venyu Triple S Invitational over in Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, and yours truly is performing. I’m pretty sure I speak for us all when I say this is definitely a first, and damn, it looks cool!
